Making friends and memories: Taylor Swift's final London show was 'best'

Swift opened the show, nonchalantly telling the audience: "London, we have arrived... fancy meeting you here at our very last show at Wembley Stadium."

Making friends and memories: Taylor Swift's final London show was 'best'

Covering 18 years of her songwriting genius, it attracted fans from all over the world.

Claire and Sarah had come from Durban in South Africa especially and just wanted to "dance hard".

Dylan, 23, from Manchester, and Kiyan, 24, from London, had been to a whopping 16 UK shows between them, becoming friends at one of the gigs.

They reckoned they'd spent around £3,000 each all in for the experience, including tickets, food and accommodation along the way.

Debuting her song So Long London, Swift seemed genuinely touched by her reception in the capital, telling the crowd "London you're the best... this is something special", before going on to talk about performing at Shepherds Bush Empire when she was just 17.

She told the 92,000 fans: "This is the best. I've never had it this good before. Never had a crowd be so generous."

At one point she went over to a small boy in the audience, giving him her hat, to his visible shock and delight.

With multiple sparkling outfit changes, and a troop of spirited dancers, the transition between songs was slick.

Her special guests included Florence of Florence And The Machine, who sang Florida with her - making it the second live performance debut of the night.

Singer, songwriter and producer Jack Antinoff also joined Swift on stage to perform songs they had written together.

She finished her show - the 131st of the Eras tour - by telling the appreciative audience: "London, I cannot think of a more generous gift you have given me and my band. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

Her parting words: "Thank you so much for these phenomenal memories we will keep for the rest of our lives."
