Megan Hughes: Man in court charged with murder of woman in Chirnside
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a mother in the Scottish Borders.

Emergency crews were called to a report of a woman seriously injured in a property on Windram Road, Chirnside, at about 4.35am on Sunday.
Megan Hughes, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a statement released through Police Scotland, her family said: "Megan was a much-loved mother and daughter.
"She was beautiful and caring. This has left a massive hole in the family who are all absolutely devastated."
A 31-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with Ms Hughes' death.
Corey Dryden, of Berwickshire, made no plea to the single murder charge when he appeared at Jedburgh Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
He was remanded in custody and is due back in the dock within the next week.
Detective Inspector Laura White said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of Megan at this difficult time.
"We will continue to support them as the investigation continues."
