Middle East latest: Hezbollah says it has attacked a kibbutz in northern Israel - after minister warned 'all-out war nearing'
Iran has warned Israel about any "new adventure" in Lebanon, after strikes "deep inside" the country. Israeli forces were retaliating after rockets killed 12 people - including children - in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
The Israeli military has released images it says shows the similarity between an Iran-made rocket and the one apparently used in the deadly attack on the football pitch.
It says the 'Falaq-1' rocket has the same markings as wreckage recovered from the site.
Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, has denied being behind the attack.
Israel Defense Forces released another image it says shows the path of the rocket, showing it originating from Lebanon.
Lebanon's foreign minister says the world must not give Israel a "licence to kill" after the deadly attack on the Golan Heights.
Abdallah Bou Habib told Sky News the area is Syrian territory occupied by Israel and its inhabitants are Syrian, so retaliation "is not self defence".
He insisted he did not know who carried out Saturday's rocket strike, calling on the UN to carry out an investigation.
"My feeling is that why would Hezbollah do it to kill Arabs? To kill Syrians? And Hezbollah has been always targeting military positions of Israel, not civilians," said the foreign minister.
"There's no logic in it. I'm not saying that they didn't do it or they did it. What I'm saying is that there is no logic of Hezbollah doing it."
The attack hit the village of Majdal Shams, part of the Druze community, a faith which make up more than half the 40,000-strong population of the Golan Heights.
The territory was captured by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war and annexed in a move not recognised by most countries.
"Therefore it doesn't mean give them a license to kill and destroy like they took in Gaza," said Mr Habib.
"The world should not give them a license to kill. The people who were killed were not Israelis – they were Syrians."
Israel has blamed Hezbollah for the attack, which the group denies.
The US blames Hezbollah for the rocket strike that killed 12 children and teenagers in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, the White House says.
Hezbollah has vehemently denied the attack, which hit a football pitch in the Druze village of Majdal Shams.
"This attack was conducted by Lebanese Hezbollah. It was their rocket, and launched from an area they control," National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said.
"The United States is also working on a diplomatic solution along the Blue Line that will end all attacks once and for all, and allow citizens on both sides of the border to safely return to their homes," she said.
