Olori Sekinat Elegushi’s lifestyle exposed in "The Encyclopaedic Knowledge of the Nigerian Social Establishment" by wife of Lagos monarch, in her new coffee-table book
The encyclopaedic knowledge of the Nigerian social establishment by Olori Sekinat Aramide Elegushi, wife of Lagos monarch, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, has been encapsulated in a new book authored by the publisher of The ELITES Magazine, Kemi Akinyemi. The new book titled Sekinat Aramide Elegushi: Royalty Meets Style and A Heart of Gold is a 240-page coffee table masterpiece to celebrate what the subject —Olori Sekinat— has done to put smiles on the faces of the needy in society, most especially in her immediate environment of Ikateland in Etiosa Local Government Area of Lagos State.
According to Akinyemi, a former assistant editor with The News, the inspiration for the coffee-table book came from the queen herself whom she has been watching closely for two decades right from when she got married into the kingdom. She said the book comprises pictures showcasing the fashion and philanthropic escapades of the Olori who she said has become a role model for the womenfolk in Africa as a whole while those who read the book have a lot to learn from her unique qualities and milk of human kindness.
In the foreword to the book, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the Lagos State Head of Service, observes that Olori Elegushi’s style and fashion escapades and her footprints in the sands of philanthropy inspired this book about her. The book will be available for purchase at major bookstores across the country.
