Urgent appeal for missing dogs suspected of fatal 'attack' after man found dead in garden
Police have issued an urgent appeal to find two dogs that may have been involved in a man's death in the West Midlands.
A photo of one of the dogs has been released after officers were called to a property in Rubery in the early hours of Thursday and found a man dead in the back garden.
Two dogs were seized, but two others that may also have been at the Hereford Close address are missing.
Police said they believe the man, 33, was attacked by at least one of the animals, and that it may have contributed to his death.
People are being warned to call 999 if they see the dogs and not to approach them.
"None of the dogs involved is believed to be a banned breed. It is believed the dogs which we are still looking for are American Bulldog-types," said West Midlands Police.
"We have obtained images of one of the dogs we're looking for. We are also looking for another similar dog, which is described as black."
A post-mortem examination on the man is being carried out today to establish his cause of death.
Police are carrying out house-to-house enquiries, reviewing CCTV, and using specialist dog officers and drones to try to find them.
