Your boss is probably spying on you during WFH shifts
Nearly 90% of employers admit to using tools to monitor their employees, research has found.
Most bosses spy on employees working from home
More than half (51%) of UK bosses don't trust their employees to work without online surveillance, according to new data.
A massive 85% of employers admit to using online employee monitoring techniques such as tracking tools, a survey by ExpressVPN found.
At the same time, half of British workers would quit if they knew it was happening to them.
Some 45% of workers suspect their bosses may already be monitoring their work hours, productivity, location or other activities without their knowledge and roughly the same amount said it causes stress and anxiety.
Interestingly, 17% of Britons would be willing to take a 25% pay cut to avoid being monitored.
Another 27% say they now take fewer breaks, 23% feel pressured to work longer hours and 32% constantly wonder if they are being watched.
The research found a third of employers have considered banning working from home as a result of the trust issue.
