YouTuber Hank Green has revealed he has been diagnosed with cancer.
The popular creator - best known for running the Vlog Brothers channel with sibling John - posted a video on Friday, telling viewers he had been diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Hodgkin's lymphoma is a type of cancer which attacks the lymphatic system.
Mr Green said he would soon be beginning treatment for the disease, adding it is one "the most treatable" cancers.
He said: "It seems likely that we caught mine early. I'm still waiting on a scan to sort of confirm that."
"The goal is cure," he added, saying the "procedure to get there is fairly well known if unpleasant," in a reference to chemotherapy.
He went on to lay out how the diagnosis would impact his YouTube career and the frequency with which he publishes videos.
The video of Mr Green revealing his cancer diagnosis was viewed more than 1.8m times in seven hours.
His other popular channels include Crash Course and SciShow, which are both educational.
Shortly after his announcement video, it was announced he would not be attending the VidCon streaming convention scheduled to take place next month in Anaheim, California.
He founded the convention along with his brother in 2010, but it is now owned by Paramount Global.
