The war and political cooperation are on the agenda, but also the impact Ukrainian grain is having on Polish markets.

Polish agriculture minister Henryk Kowalczyk resigned earlier today as farmers hit out at Ukrainian imports pushing down Polish prices.

Mr Kowalczyk quit due to the European Commission's decision to extend duty-free imports for Ukrainian grain until June next year, he said.

On the surface Volodymyr Zelenskyy's first official visit to Poland since the start of the war is a thank you mission, but important issues will be discussed behind the scenes, says Sky News' Europe correspondent Siobhan Robbins.

The "tricky issue" of Ukrainian grain imports - which have driven down prices in Poland - will need to be addressed, she says, and "no doubt we will hear another call from President Zelenskyy asking for further weapons".

On arrival, Mr Zelenskyy was given a "full official welcome", including a band, troops and meeting the first lady.

Poland has been a "huge supporter of Ukraine since the war broke out".

"Poland was very key in helping to push and put pressure on the Germans to insure that the Leopard 2 tanks were released," Robbins said.

The modern battle tanks are considered key for Ukraine's anticipated counteroffensive.

After speaking with the Polish president and prime minister, Mr Zelenskyy will meet Ukrainian refugees and members of the Polish public this evening.
