The sky over Kyiv has been "covered with smoke" since Russia's overnight attack, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has said.

"Works to eliminate the consequences of the terror continues," the Foreign Ministry said.
"This is a deliberate step by Russia to prolong the war, a conscious crime, and a mockery of peace efforts, including those of the United States.
"There must be a clear and strong response in the form of sanctions. Words have never stopped Russian drones and missiles."
