Trump latest: US president speaking after signing $142bn arms deal with Saudi Arabia
Donald Trump has signed a $600bn deal with Saudi Arabia, which includes the "largest defence sales agreement in history". It comes at the start of the US president's three-day Middle East tour. Watch live below as the president speaks.

Marco Rubio to attend Ukraine-Russia talks this week, says Trump
Touching on the war in Ukraine, Donald Trump says his team will be in Turkey this week for expected talks between Kyiv and Moscow.
He says his top diplomat Marco Rubio will attend those talks on Thursday, hoping they could "produce some good results".
A senior White House official confirmed to our US partner network NBC News that in addition to Rubio, envoys Steve Witkoff and Keith Kellogg would also attend the talks.
The official said Trump would not travel to Turkey this week.
US to end sanctions on Syria - Trump says 'good luck'
Donald Trump says he plans to life sanctions on Syria following talks with Mohammed bin Salman and Turkish leader Tayyip Erdogan.
It comes as the White House revealed the US president is due to meet with Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa tomorrow.
Trump said US sanctions on Syria, put in place during the rule of former dictator Bashar al Assad, were "brutal and crippling" but served an "important function" at the time.
"But now it's their time to shine. It's time to shine. We're taking them all off," he says. "Good luck Syria, show us something very special."
Yesterday, Trump teased that he might "help [Syria] out" because the current sanctions on the country "doesn't give them much of a start".
Trump's Abraham Accords 'dream' met with silence in Riyadh
Donald Trump says he hopes that Saudi Arabia will soon join the Abraham Accords, a series of agreements aimed at normalising relations between Israel and Arab countries.
Saudi Arabia seemed poised to join the accords before the Hamas attacks on Israel in October 2023. The resulting Israeli assault on Gaza now stands in the kingdom's way of joining, it says.
Trump says it will be a "special day in the Middle East... when Saudi Arabia joins us, and you'll be greatly honouring me and you'll be greatly honouring all of those people that have fought so hard for the Middle East."
He says it's his "fervent hope" that Saudi Arabia would soon sign its own normalisation agreement with Israel, adding, "But you'll do it in your own time."
In a speech littered with applause, this line receives a noticeable lack of reaction from the crowd.
Trump wants Iran deal - but warns of 'maximum pressure' if olive branch rejected
Iran has "dragged down an entire region with them", Donald Trump says as he takes aim at Tehran now.
He says while Saudi Arabia is "building some of the world's biggest and most incredible infrastructure projects", Iran's "decades of neglect and mismanagement have left the country plagued by rolling blackouts".
"While your skill has turned dry deserts into fertile farmland, Iran's leaders have managed to turn green farmland into dry deserts," he adds, addressing the audience in Riyadh.
But he says he's also ready to offer an "olive branch" to the regime in Iran.
"I'm here today not merely to condemn the past chaos of Iran's leaders, but to offer them a new path and a much better path toward a far better and more hopeful future," Trump said.
"I want to make a deal with Iran. If I can make a deal with Iran, I'll be very happy."
Trump also warns that if Iran "continues to attack their neighbours", he will have "no choice but to inflict massive maximum pressure".
"Drive off Iranian oil exports to zero like I did before," he adds.
"Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. But with that said, Iran can have a much brighter future, but we'll never allow America and its allies to be threatened with terrorism or nuclear attack.
"The choice is theirs to make."
Trump suggests India and Pakistan go for 'nice dinner together'
Donald Trump has turned his attention to the recent hostilities between India and Pakistan, which ended last week after US-led talks resulted in a ceasefire.
"They both have very powerful leaders, very strong leaders, good leaders, smart leaders. And, it all stopped. Hopefully it'll remain that way, but it all stopped," he says.
"Millions of people could have died from that conflict that started off small and was getting bigger and bigger by the day."
Trump praises the work of his secretary of state, Marco Rubio, and vice president JD Vance, asking the former if he thinks India and Pakistan would now sit down for dinner together.
"I think they're actually getting along," he says. "Maybe we can even get them together a little bit, Marco, where they go out and have a nice dinner together. Wouldn't that be nice?"
Middle East visit adding $1tn in investment to US, Trump says
Donald Trump says the US is adding $1trn in investment with his visit to the Middle East.
He says that, in addition to purchases of $142bn (£107bn) of US-made military equipment, there will also be multibillion dollar deals with Amazon, Oracle, AMD, Uber, Johnson & Johnson and more.
Trump asks MBS: 'How do you sleep at night?'
Praising Saudi Arabia, Donald Trump highlights the crown prince's role.
"Mohammed, how do you sleep at night? How do you sleep? Just thinking," he says.
"What a job. He tosses and turns - like some of us tosses and turns - all night. How do I make it even better? All night.
"It's the ones that don't toss and turn. They're the ones that will never take you to the promised land, won't they?
"But you have done some job though. But critics doubted that it was possible, what you've done. But over the past eight years, Saudi Arabia has proved the critics totally wrong."
Trump tells Saudi crown prince 'you're hotter' as he hails US economy
Donald Trump is now listing what he says are his administration's achievements in the US.
He's particularly keen to highlight the state of the domestic economy, despite concerns over the impact of tariffs.
"The days of economic misery under the last administration are rapidly giving way to the greatest economy in the history of the world," he says, without backing up that claim.
"We are rocking. The United States is the hottest country... with the exception of your country, I have to say, right," he continues, to laughter from the audience.
Addressing the Saudi crown prince, he adds: "I'm not going to take that on now, Mohammed. I'm not going to take that on.
"Wouldn't that be a terrible thing if I made that full statement? But I will get to it. You're hotter.
"At least as long as I'm up here, you're hotter."
Trump: US-Saudi relationship 'more powerful than ever'
Trump says that the US and Saudi Arabia have today made the next steps "to make our relationship closer, stronger and more powerful than ever before".
"It will remain that way," he adds, saying the US doesn't go "in and out like other people".
Trump addresses Saudi summit
Trump is well into his speech in Riyadh, where he seems relaxed to be on stage and centre of attention.
He was welcomed to the microphone to the sound of God Bless The USA by Lee Greenwood, which has become America's unofficial national anthem under Trump.
Trump takes to stage and hails 'bedrock' of security
Donald Trump's now taken the stage, after Mohammed bin Salman gave some brief remarks hailing US-Saudi cooperation.
Describing the Saudi crown prince as a "great man", he thanks the royal family for their welcome.
The partnership between the two countries is a "bedrock" of security and prosperity, he adds.
"I've come this afternoon to talk about the bright future of the Middle East," he says.
"But first, let me begin by sharing the abundance of good news from a place called America.
"In less than four months, our new administration has achieved more than most other administrations accomplish in four years, or even eight years."

"With the intelligence age, we could not be more appreciative of having a lifetime partner and a friend like you Elon to the kingdom," Saudi minister Abdullah Alswaha said to Musk.
"Joining hands on X AI, Starlink and Tesla. We look forward to continuing the partnership."

He'll then be hosted at an official state banquet to end his day.
Israel a 'very significant omission' on Trump's Middle East schedule
As we've been reporting, Donald Trump will also be visiting Qatar and the United Arab Emirates this week after he leaves Saudi Arabia.
But his omission of Israel has been described as "very significant" by a former Middle East adviser at the US defence department.
Speaking to Gareth Barlow, Jasmine El Gamal said Benjamin Netanyahu "continues to see the region from a purely military sense".
"He's out of step with this Trump administration and you can see that in the tension between Trump and Netanyahu," she said.
El Gamal added that Trump's trip to other parts of the Middle East is a strong message to Netanyahu: "if you're not going to get on board with this, you're going to be left out".
